10th Annual Midtown Garden Stroll 12-5pm

Description

ABOUT THE MIDTOWN GARDEN STROLL

The Midtown Garden Stroll is a free event, open to the general public, and takes place throughout the Historic Midtown Garden District. The stroll is an outdoor self-guided tour, providing a rare opportunity to experience some of Midtown’s most impressive private gardens. Guests can expect to see formal gardens, casual gardens, fountains, espalier, backyard beekeeping, intricate brickwork, and inspiring ideas for beautiful, fully functional family yards. A couple of  Georgia Perennial members' gardens are among the jewels of this "don't miss" event: Kathleen and Gabriel Dumitrescu and Susan and Chris Hadorn.

Georgia Perennial will also be hosting a nonprofit booth, so please stop by and see us or even consider coming to sit with us for an hour or so to help let the public know more about our group.

ACCESSIBLE TO ALL

The gardens are approachable, meaning guests can view beautiful projects that they feel they can incorporate at their own home.  Homeowners provide context for their projects and generously spend the afternoon greeting guests. From planter design for your balcony to a koi pond in your backyard, you are sure to leave with a green inspiration to create at your home.

There will be a market offering fresh flowers, food and beverages and more (plants, garden tchotchkes). It's high past time to revisit what Midtown offers!

For more information, go to:  Midtown Garden Stroll and go here for the stroll map and list of gardens on display Printable Map & Guide.

Public transit to the area is highly recommended as parking is limited. Shuttles do operate between homes on the tour, however.  Another possibility to consider is carpooling and parking in a paid lot or using a ride share service.
