Social Time begins at 6:30, followed by quick business meeting at 7:15 pm and speaker at 7:30.

 

 

Join us for a talk by Georgia landscape designer Tara Dillard, "Gardening for 80."  This talk focusses on designing and planting a garden that we can manage as we age, whether it is approaching 80 or beyond. We think the concepts will work as well for busy working people too! Tara will discuss overall design, pollinator habitats, potagers and maintenance. 

 

Tara Dillard is nationally recognized, and a nationally award winning, garden designer, author, and speaker who hosted her own CBS-TV show, The Better Gardening Show. Degreed in engineering and horticulture, she designs and contracts home & garden construction emphasizing low maintenance, little water, increased property value, lowered HVAC bills, pollinator habitats.

 
Tara is the author of 5 books, including Garden Paths and Stepping Stones, Beautiful by Design, and The Garden View, Tara writes magazine articles and maintains a landscape design blog, www.TaraDillard.com. She also co-authored two books focussed on planting in Georgia:  Best Garden Plants for Georgia (2006); Gardening 'Round Atlanta (1997).

Based in Morgan County, GA, in a circa 1900 home, Tara lectures & designs online nationally/internationally and designs & contracts locally/nationally. Tara knows, creating a beautiful garden creates a beautiful life.
