There is such a wealth of choices when browsing through bulb catalogues that it can be overwhelming. This talk will focus mostly on spring flowering bulbs, including many unusual ones. Lisa will discuss the different cultural requirements for bulbs to thrive and how to combine bulbs with perennials, annuals, grasses and other bulbs for optimal effect. The Chanticleer Gravel Garden, where Lisa gardens will be the backdrop for many of the bulbs discussed. She will also cover planting techniques, perennializing bulbs, and how to ward off critters.

About Chanticleer

Chanticleer is a 48 acre "pleasure garden" with a mission to illustrate the beauty of horticulture. It is among the most beautiful gardens to stroll through in the world, with many gardens within the garden evoking visceral emotional responses -- perhaps none more than the Gravel and Ruin gardens. "Planted to Perfection" said London's Financial Times; "America's most inspiring garden" said Garden Design magazine. If you've been, you probably agree with all of these comments.  It is a magical place. If you have a garden bucket list, this should be near the top of it.
