KID FRIENDLY!!
Saturday, July 18th we'll tour and picnic at McFarlane Nature Park.
At 11.2 acres, the park holds a specimen of every tree native to the Piedmont and features an extensive collection of native azaleas, a small long-leaf pine grove, a small meadow that supports local insects and birds, and more - a total of thirteen distinct garden areas!
Pack your picnic baskets with your favorite lunch and come enjoy a day of fun in the sun, and shade! We know its been hot, but temperatures should be more moderate at that date and time!
Park naturalist Karin Guzy, a Georgia Perennial Member, will take us on a guided tour, and we'll finish up with some ice cold watermelon!
